Seekers

First-Timers

(seekers)

First Timers are always greeted with a smile. We practice and are known for our spirit of hospitality, where those who fellowship with us always feel right at home. Our visitors are always greeted with a smile, lots of love, are given a homemade love loaf and a visitors packet. If you don’t have a Bible we have them at the church for your use. When you leave, you’ll know that you were among people who love God, who love you, and will find yourself coming back again and again.

General Statement of Faith

  • We believe that God, the Father Almighty, is the Maker of heaven and earth.
  • We believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only Begotten Son, and that He was conceived by the Holy Spirit.
  • We believe that Jesus suffered, was crucified, died, was buried and then rose on the 3rd day by the power of the Holy Spirit.
  • We believe Jesus nows sits at the right hand of God and that He will return to judge all people.
  • We believe that all who put their trust in Jesus Christ are the Body of Christ.
  • We believe that God is a forgiving and loving God.
  • We believe that the Body of Christ will one day be bodily resurrected to everlasting life.

Our sacraments

On the first Sunday of each month we celebrate the Holy Eucharist. All believers are invited and are welcome to join us in the celebration and the remembrance of our Lord’s passion for us.  The Second Sunday of each month is reserved for the Holy Baptism of infants. Adult Baptisms are routinely scheduled as well.

How to Become a Member

Why Should You Join a Church? Because the Church of Jesus is representative of the very best people on earth. Remaining outside of the church means you are separating yourself from the best. As followers of Christ, we are children of God. As His children, we are members of His family and should seek a vital relationship to that family. In addition, the church serves as a moral laboratory where Christian purposes, practices and beliefs can be nurtured and developed.  With the combined effort of many people working  together with a single purpose, tremendous spiritual advances can be had. Moreover, membership in Christ’s Church gives one a sense of unity and wholeness, as well as fellowship with the immense and towering personalities of the past.

Then lastly, the church needs you. Christ needs your service, your gifts, your skills, talents and abilities.  Christ desires your loyalty. Enlistment in His service means an opportunity for you to participate in a great crusade for God – membership in Christ’s Church should pose a welcomed challenge regarding Kingdome building this Millennium.

What Steps Are Required to Actually Join Living Faith CWC? Each Sunday after the sermon has concluded, either the Pastor or a Ministerial associate will offer an invitation to Christian Discipleship. When the invitation is made, walk to the Altar Area, where you will be met by a Ministerial Associate who will take your hand, welcome you, pray with you and for you. In addition, you will be asked to pray the “Sinner’s Prayer”.  Once this is done, a member of the Evangelism Team will record vital information pertinent for membership documentation. You will then be assigned a “Discipler” (a person who has gone through the Call to Joy Friendship Evangelism and Discipleship program), who will greet you. In addition, you will be presented before the church, where Pastor Bullock and others will also greet and welcome you into our church family.  Should you desire to be baptized, Pastor Bullock will schedule a meeting with you (two-part counseling session). Upon completion, you will be contacted regarding the date and time as to when the Baptism service will occur.

Words of Reflection

“Our goal here at LFCWC is to build a healthy church that expresses the love of God, the unity of the Spirit, the acceptance of one another, and the desire to build one another up in love.” Rev. Larry S. Bullock
