Prayer-Fasting & Benevolence Ministry

LFCWC Mission Statement/PF & B Mission Statement

“We, the Family of Living Faith CWC Church, seek to share the Full Gospel message with the ‘unchurched and churched’ population within our community. We believe in the Biblical mandates regarding Family, Faith, and the ministry of Reconciliation through Jesus Christ. As a community of Living Faith, we endeavor to proclaim the Gospel of salvation through Jesus Christ by teaching, preaching, global evangelism, and Christian nurturing.”  The Prayer – Fasting and Benevolence (PF&B) Ministry is a vital part of the LFCWC ministries and actively seeks, through consistent Prayer and Fasting, coupled with faith, to intercede and minister to the spiritual, emotional, and physical needs of God‘s people.

We believe that…

  1. … “Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.”  {John 14:6}
  2. “The effectual fervent prayer of the righteous is powerful.”  {James 5:16}
  3. … the Holy Spirit is God’s power here on this earth within believers. “ And in Him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by His Spirit.”  {Ephesians 2:22}
  4. … we have authority over the enemy of our souls. “…I will give you the keys to the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth is bound in heaven and whatever you loose on earth is loosed in heaven.”  {Mt. 16:19}
  5. …“… these signs will accompany those who believe in My name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues… they will place their hands on the sick and they shall recover.”  {Mk. 16:17-18}
  6. There is power in the blood of Jesus. The Word says, “If you confess your sins, God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”  {1 Jn. 1:9}
  7. We have spiritual weapons to fight this struggle, which is not against flesh and blood. The Word of God says, “Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil‘s schemes…”  (Eph. 6:10-18).

What We Do

Members of the Prayer-Fasting & Benevolence Ministry Pray and Fast two days a week. We meet on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings for Intercessory Prayer.  Prayer petitions and benevolence requests, of both members and non-members, are brought before our team and are “handled” with the utmost care and confidentiality.  Those who request benevolence are required to go first through our Debt-Free and Prosperous Living Ministry for Credit and Budget Counseling.  This empowers them to be more effective as stewards over that which has been entrusted to them.  All prayer requests and requests for benevolence are, specifically and individually, taken to the Lord as we pray according to the Word of God.  Each prayer request (over 8,500 requests to date) is meticulously recorded, addressed, and tracked ( to the best of our ability) to closure.  In addition, we go beyond the “walls of the church” to minister to those in need.
